BARNESVILLE, Minn. (KNSI) The State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on I-94 near Barnesville involving two semi tractor-trailers.

One driver was killed in the crash just before four o'clock Wednesday morning.

Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow says both semis were eastbound when one tried to pass another, lost control, and sent the other semi into the median where it struck a guardrail and bridge pillar.

The person killed has not been released. The other driver is identified as 53 year-old Thomas Harrington Junior of North St. Paul. He was not injured.

Troopers handled several other crashes along I-94, including a jack-knifed semi near Rothsay that blocked the eastbound lanes.
