CLARKFIELD, Minn. (KNSI) The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office says a 77 year-old man has died in a farm accident near Clarkfield.
The sheriff's office got a call just after 4:30 Monday afternoon of a missing man.
The adult male was believed to have been in a grain bin that was in the process of being emptied. Others working on the farm said the man had been in and out of the bin earlier in the afternoon.
After rescue personnel were unable to locate the man on the property, the grain bin was emptied--a process that took six and a half hours--before the body of 77 year-old Richard Rosetter was recovered. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Yellow Medicine County deputy coroner.
The Montevideo and Clarkfield Fire Departments and Clarkfield Ambulance assisted at the scene.
