ANOKA, MN (AP) - Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a convicted felon in a Coon Rapids hit-and-run that critically injured a 9-year-old boy two weeks ago.
Police say 32-year-old Nathan Boese has left town.
Boese is charged with criminal vehicular operation and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury.
The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/MQds1i) reports the complaint noted that testing for blood on the pickup truck came back positive.
Amir Taylor of Minneapolis was transferred to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare Tuesday to continue his rehabilitation. He is listed in fair condition, and his mother says he is breathing on his own.
Amir was riding his bike in Coon Rapids while visiting his grandmother when he was struck on June 13. The driver then drove away.
