Election results being certified

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) The State Canvassing Board meets in St. Paul this afternoon to certify the results of two special elections held Tuesday.

Tama Theis of St. Cloud and Clark Johnson of North Mankato won races to fill a pair of open legislative seats.

Theis fills the seat vacated by the resignation of Steve Gottwalt. Johnson takes over for Terry Morrow--who also resigned his seat.

With the results, the DFL holds a 73-to-61 advantage in the House.

A date for the swearing in of Theis and Johnson has not yet been announced.
