ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Minnesotans will be heading to the polls today on Election Day to help decide national, state and local races.
The headliner is the presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney--which polls show has been a neck and neck race in the closing days of the campaign.
On the statewide level, Minnesotans will elect a U.S Senator. Incumbent Amy Klobuchar is running against Kurt Bills in that race.
All eight congressional seats in the state are up for grabs. Locally, the 6th District race is between Republican Michele Bachmann and challenger Jim Graves.
In St. Cloud, Mayor Dave Kleis is unopposed for another term. There are contested races for city council and school board. St. Cloud voters will also decide an 18-million dollar bond issue for street repairs.
Tax levy questions are on the ballot in the Sauk Rapids-Rice and ROCORI school districts, and two consitutional amendments will be decided. They deal with gay marriage and voter identification at the polls.
