ST. PAUL, MN (KNSI) - The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has extended the deadline for applying for 47-and-a-half million dollars in bond money for capital projects.
The deadline was originally Tuesday, but it's been extended to July 9th. Officials with DEED say they extended the deadline because a number of communities requested more time to complete their application materials.
Bond funding will be available for public projects including design, acquisition of land or buildings for construction, equipping new or renovated buildings, and infrastructure.
One of the applications already submitted comes from the city of St. Cloud. It's asking for nine-point-six million dollars to build a parking ramp at the River's Edge Convention Center.
