ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - The St. Cloud Fire Department reports another round of southside dumpster fires, and they're on the lookout for who has been responsible for a rash of them in recent months.
According to St. Cloud Police Sgt. Jason Burke, firefighters were called to complaints of dumpster fires between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Monday morning.
The fires were spotted in the 500 and 700 blocks of 7th Avenue South, and the 800 block of 6th Avenue South.
The fires were put out before they were able to cause any damage to nearby buildings.
Burke says these fires are the latest in a string of incidents that have taken place primarily on St. Cloud's south side, and the St. Cloud Police Department, in conjunction with the St. Cloud Fire Department and State Fire Marshal's Officen is asking for the public's help in identifying those who are lighting them.
The Minnesota Arson Awareness Program is offering rewards of up to $2,500 for anonymous tips leading to arrests - you can reach them at 1-800-723-2020.
