DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - The body of a 95-year-old man has been found outside a Duluth retirement home after a night of subzero temperatures.
A Duluth police spokesman says Clifford David Lindberg lived with his wife in the independent living area.
Officials believe Lindberg might have gone outside about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday. That's when electronic records show that a side door was opened. Tracks led out from the door to where Lindberg was found.
Lindberg's wife reported him missing when she woke up Wednesday morning. The staff called police after they looked for him inside the building.
The Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/ArxpKz ) reports the medical examiner will try to determine the cause of death.
The National Weather Service says temperatures in Duluth dropped to 8 below zero overnight.
