ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A suspected drunk driver was hurt crashing into a tree in St. Cloud.

Police said a vehicle left the road and collided with a tree in the 700 Block of Riverside Drive Southeast around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.

A witness said the vehicle was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed just prior to the crash.

The driver and lone occupant, 29-year-old Mohammed Abdulla Murshed, was hurt and was found just outside the vehicle.

The St. Cloud man was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A search warrant was obtained to collect a blood sample to determine his blood alcohol concentration.

Charges relating to DUI and careless driving are pending the toxicology results.

The St. Cloud Fire Department assisted with the accident scene.
