ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Police in St. Cloud were searching for a hit-and-run driver who ran over a boy's foot in a crosswalk Wednesday, then drove away.

The 14-year-old boy from Sartell was struck while he crossed in the crosswalk along the 300 block of 7th Avenue North near Cathedral High School around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to St. Cloud police.

Investigators said the boy was crossing when the white mid-sized car drove through the crosswalk over the teen's right foot. The driver then continued northbound on 7th, making no effort to stop, witnesses said.

The boy was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200.
