(Undated) -- The Minnesota Public Safety Department says law enforcement agencies in the state arrested more than 2,400 impaired drivers during a crackdown from just after Thanksgiving through the end of the year.
In Greater Minnesota, agencies with the most arrests included Wright County, Duluth police, Blue Earth County Sheriff's Department and Red Lake Law Enforcement.
State Traffic Safety Director Donna Berger says the number of arrests shows that too many Minnesotans still make poor choices about drinking and driving.
Officials say preliminary numbers indicate more than 24,500 Minnesotans were arrested for D-W-I in 2013 and they expect final numbers will approach 26,000.
