FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KNSI) A man from Nebraska was injured in a swimming accident Wednesday afternoon in western Minnesota.

According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office, the man was attempting a forward flip from the dock into the water. The water is 3 1/2 feet deep at the end of the dock on Big Pine Lake.

Family helped the 47-year-old man out of the water. He was taken to the Perham hospital and then air-lifted to a Fargo hospital with neck injuries.
