ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Police say a man distracted by his cell phone caused a crash Wednesday afternoon that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened just after two pm on Second Street South near 29th Avenue. Twenty six year-old Adam Ramsey told officers he didn't see the vehicle in front of him slowing down because he was looking at his cell phone.

Ramsey hit another vehicle driven by a 61 year-old St. Cloud woman. She didn't have any injuries, but a passenger in Ramsey's vehicle, 25 year-old Aletha Hartley of St. Cloud, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

St. Cloud Police cited Ramsey for inattentive driving, and driving with an expired license.
