ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Three men were arrested and a St. Cloud police officer was injured when a downtown crowd became disorderly Sunday morning.

Officers were monitoring bar crowds at Fifth Avenue and St. Germain Street around 2 a.m. when a man being taken into custody began resisting arrest. A brief struggle took place between the man and officers, and at some point, someone in the crowd threw a beer bottle. It hit an officer in the face.

Several others in the crowd also attempted to interfere with the arrest.

The men arrested are identified as 39 year-old Michael Johnson Junior of St. Cloud, 18 year-old Michael Johnson the third of St. Cloud, and 37 year-old Kevin Scuefield of St. Cloud.

Charges could include obstruction and disorderly conduct. The suspects were taken to the Stearns County Jail. The officer struck by the beer bottle was treated at St. Cloud Hospital and released.
