ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - More steps to be taken tomorrow in the process of bringing Willie Jett to St. Cloud as the new superintendent of schools.
District 742 board chair Bruce Mohs tells KNSI news he and fellow member Jerry Von Korff will meet Jett for lunch in St. Paul tomorrow to begin talks about the timeline for signing Jett to a contract. Mohs says they're also going to strategize on how to help Jett with his move into the St. Cloud area "sooner rather than later."
Mohs says Jett, along with the other final candidates for the position, agreed to the salary range to which the district was open, and he doesn't forsee any roadblocks in building an agreeable contract.
At this point, Mohs says the contract could either offer a flat salary or have performance-based incentives built in, but they don't expect a contract to be finalized tomorrow.
Willie Jett was offered the position of superintendent by the school district after their last Wednesday special meeting, edging out two final candidates for the job.
