ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A detour on Highway 23 around a pedestrian bridge project will stay in place longer than expected.
Originally scheduled to re-open Tuesday morning, the detour in east St. Cloud between Wilson and Lincoln Avenues has been extended through Thursday at 6 a.m.
Crews closed the stretch of road on Friday for underground utility work near the site of the pedestrian bridge currently being rebuilt. Rain over the weekend followed by the threat of more rain today prompted MnDOT to lengthen the closure.
