EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — A man and a woman are dead after an officer-involved shooting that shut down part of Highway 212 in Eden Prairie.

Lt. Eric Roeske says no officers were injured.

A preliminary investigation shows authorities got a call around 7:30 a.m. Friday about a red Saab driving erratically. The Saab was then in a rear-end crash and left the scene. Police found the car and there was a pursuit that reached speeds of more than 90 mph.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says before 8 a.m., the Saab crashed on Highway 212 near Dell Road. The man and woman got out of the car. But details about the shooting are still being investigated. Four officers are placed on leave.

Authorities say Highway 212 will remain closed through the afternoon rush hour.
