MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in northwestern Minnesota say a sheriff's deputy has been shot during a traffic stop.

Norman County sheriff's dispatcher Kim Lewis says the deputy is expected to be OK.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have converged on an area northeast of Moorhead. Law enforcement officials on the scene say gunfire was exchanged with the suspect. Authorities say they are looking for an older, black Dodge pickup truck with at least one bullet hole.

Officials provided no other details.
