ROCKVILLE, Minn. (KNSI) Last week's heavy wind storm will delay the opening of the Rockville County Park and Nature Preserve.
The opening had been scheduled for August first, but a news release from the county says the opening will now happen in late August or early September.
Many trees in the park were knocked down by high winds. Staff is working to clear storm debris-- a process that is likely to last into next week.
The park is located just west of Rockville's Eagle Park, and includes more than a mile of shoreline along the Sauk River.
