LONG PRAIRIE, Minn. (KNSI) The Todd County Sheriff's Office says a deer was hit not once--but twice--in Todd County this week.

It happened Tuesday night on County Road 16, just west of the Whoopee Inn.

A car was westbound when it struck the deer as it was coming out of the ditch. The deer was pushed into the eastbound lane where a Schwans delivery truck hit it.

The driver of the truck got glass in his eyes when the deer slammed into his windshield. The driver of the car was not injured.

Both the car and truck had damage significant enough that neither vehicle could be driven from the scene.
