ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Gov. Mark Dayton will deliver his second State of the State address on the evening of Feb. 15 in the Minnesota House chamber.
Recent practice by governors, including Dayton himself last year, has been to hold the annual speech during the daytime. Dayton's speech is scheduled for 7 p.m. on a Wednesday.
Governors are only required to deliver a State of the State speech once every two years, but most have made a practice of delivering one every year. The address is typically delivered in the House chamber, although former Gov. Tim Pawlenty traveled to Rochester in 2005 and St. Cloud in 2008 for the speech.
