ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) Good news for the city of St. Cloud in its quest to get state funding to pay for the construction of a new parking ramp at the River's Edge Convention Center.
Governor Mark Dayton said during a press briefing Monday that he will include funding for three civic center projects in his bonding proposal to the Legislature--including St. Cloud, along with projects in Mankato and Rochester.
Attempts by St. Cloud to secure funding have been turned back three consecutive years. But 2013 could be different in that the Legislature is controlled by Democrats, who might be receptive to the governor's request.
The parking ramp project would cost around $10 million. The legislative session begins January 8th.
