ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Cowboy Jack's is a go in downtown St. Cloud.

The city council approved the liquor license Monday for the new restaurant-bar currently going in on St. Germain Street.

The council originally tabled the licensing process back in October after The After Midnight Group ownership failed to provide all the paperwork needed to approve that application.

The license application was originally received by the city in July, but extensive remodeling to the location at 517 St. Germain and other renovation issues left necessary information incomplete before now. The business is taking the space previously occupied by the Rox Nightclub and Tavern on Germain.

Pending the approval of final Health and Building inspection reports, the restaurant-bar was expected to open before Christmas.

Cowboy Jack's has other restaurants open in Plymouth and Bloomington.
