St. Cloud, Minn (KNSI) - The Sartell Police Department says a couple has filed a police report saying racial slurs were written on two of their vehicles.

The alleged incident happened between 5:30 and 7pm Monday while the family was out.

"These cars were in front of their house, and when they arrived back from taking one of their kids bowling for her birthday they realized this had happened," said Natalie Ringsmuth, founder of the group Unitecloud.

Ringsmuth says the biracial couple living in the home contacted them after finding the vandalism.

"That's a dark act. Nobody wants to live in an area where you don't feel safe in your own home,"

In addition to racial slurs, sexual sayings were written and pictures drawn on the vehicles.

"How do you explain that to a three or four year old that daddy or mommy's car got vandalized because someone feels like that," added Haji Yussuf with Unitecloud.

"You can have your views about people but when you go to their property, their house and vehicles, that's personal property and that's breaking the law."
