Sauk Rapids, Minn. (KNSI) - Benton County sold just three of 18 tax forfeited properties at a public auction last week.
County officials had hoped to sell all the lots, most of which have been in forfeiture since 2009. Sixteen of the lots are in the Autumn Ridge development near Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.
County Auditor-Treasurer Karri Thorsten says buyers paid the minimum $10,000 for each of three single family lots that sold--two in Autumn Ridge and another in St.Cloud's Oakwood Heights development.
