DULUTH, MN (AP) - Carlton County's attorney has returned to work after inpatient treatment following a drunken driving arrest.
Thom Pertler is apologizing to family, colleagues and constituents and says he checked himself into the Hazelden treatment center in Center City after he was released from jail. The 48-year-old Pertler was stopped by a State Patrol trooper on Highway 61 near Lester River on July 17 and later charged with drunken driving.
The Duluth News Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/blcq4wv) reports Pertler makes his first appearance in St. Louis County Court early next month.
