WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) A group that helped develop a new city in western South Dakota eight years ago might now do the same in western North Dakota's booming oil patch.
Four Front Design and the owners of property north of Williston have presented a plan for Bakken Village to the Williams County Commission. Four Front President Bryan Vulcan says the proposed incorporated community would help solve population growth problems in the area.
The County Commission has set up a task force to look into the issue. The secretary of state also would have to approve a new city.
Vulcan says Four Front Design helped with the development of Summerset, S.D., which incorporated in June 2005 along Interstate 90 between Rapid City and Sturgis.
