LAKEVILLE, Minn. (AP) - Dakota County authorities are looking for a man suspected of abandoning his 11-year-old son because their home was in foreclosure.
Authorities say the 60-year-old Lakeville man left two notes for his son. One said their home was going to be sold at a sheriff's sale and the boy should take his PlayStation and go to a neighbor's house. The other asked the neighbors to take care of his boy.
The boy has been living with a foster family. He is expected to be permanently placed with a relative. An arrest warrant has been issued for the father.
Authorities say one letter revealed to the boy that his mother is actually alive. A St. Paul Pioneer Press report (http://bit.ly/nh9wkg ) says police don't know where she is.
