ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man was drinking with a neighbor when investigators said he picked up a .22 caliber handgun and fired a shot through the wall of his apartment Saturday, according to a St. Cloud police spokesman.
David Triston Shank was arrested following the gunshot inside the apartment on the 1600 block of University Drive Southeast just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, St. Cloud police Sgt. Jeff Janssen said.
Investigators determined Shank, 46, was drinking alcohol with a neighbor and handling numerous firearms when he pointed the revolver and a wall and fired a single shot, Janssen said.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Officers responding to the call of gunfire arrested Shank. He was taken to the Sherburne County Jail and booked on one count of intentional and reckless discharge of a firearm.
