ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man faces domestic assault charges after his live-in girlfriend told police he attacked her early Saturday, according to St. Cloud police.

Marcus Devon Brown, 31, was arrested after police found him hiding under the bed in the home he shares with the victim on 33rd Avenue North around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police arrived near 33rd Avenue North and 2nd Street North after someone called to report a man assaulting a woman near the intersection.

The 32-year-old victim told the officers Brown struck her several times and that she was afraid he would continue the assault if police didn't intervene. The officers went to the couple's home, where they located Brown.

The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries that appeared to have come from being struck with an object, according to the report.

Brown was booked into the Stearns County Jail on felony domestic assault charges. Brown remained held after records showed he had two prior qualifying domestic assault-related offenses.
