ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A 14-year-old boy remained held at the Benton County Jail Wednesday after investigators said he assaulted and tried to strangle his uncle in their St. Cloud home Tuesday, according to a St. Cloud police spokesman.
Officers arrived at the home on the 800 block of 150 Highway 10 North for a call about a domestic disturbance just after 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, St. Cloud police Sgt. Jeff Janssen said.
The boy's 35-year-old uncle told police the teen assaulted him and tried to strangle him in the home they shared.
The boy was booked into the Benton County Jail on felony domestic assault by strangulation charges as well as 5th degree domestic assault and obstructing the legal process counts. The teen's name was not released because of his age.
The uncle did not require medical attention, Janssen said.
