ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Get ready for a detour around one of St. Cloud's biggest area transportation projects as a portion of Highway 23 in St. Cloud will close Friday morning.
The closure will shut down 23 between Wilson Avenue and Lincoln Avenue starting at 10 a.m. Friday and the road will remain closed until about 6 am Tuesday. The closure comes as part of the reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge along Highway 23; crews are closing the road to relocate some utility wires underneath.
Traffic will be detoured via Wilson Avenue, East St. Germain Street and Lincoln Avenue. The project got started this week, it's set to be finished by the end of August.
