ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) There's no doubt the National Hockey League lockout is having a negative impact on businesses that are located near NHL arenas.

That includes all the bars, restaurants and hotels near the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul--which have been suffering because there's no hockey.

The entire exhibition schedule was wiped out, and regular season games through Oct. 24 have already been lost to the contract dispute between owners and players.

Today, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and local business leaders will hold a news conference at the Eagle Street Grille in St. Paul calling on owners and players to patch up their differences and get back to work.
