ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - We're learning more about that pallet found in the St. Cloud area last week that had 20 bags of cocaine hidden in boards that had been hollowed out.
Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Commander Jerry Edblad says the pallet had been at Gold'n Plump before it was taken to Schmitz Pallet Service in Watkins where the drugs were discovered when the pallet was accidentally damaged. Edblad says they don't know who the drugs were intended for.
The pallet may have been in circulation for years before the cocaine was found. The cocaine had a street value of up to 700-thousand dollars. Edblad says law enforcement K-9's checked other pallets at Gold 'n Plump, but didn't find any other drugs.
