ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Coborn's Inc. is partnering with North Dakota-based JK Foods to co-own and operate that company's four North Dakota locations, the company announced Monday.
The four western North Dakota stores -- three grocery stores and a floral shoppe -- are located in Stanley, Tioga and Williston.
"Expanding our Coborn's family of stores to include these four new locations signals positive, strategic growth for our company," Coborn's President and CEO Chris Coborn said.
"Our partnership with Coborn's will make our entire family of stores even stronger than it is today," JK Foods founder Mike Kraft said. "Coborn's and JK Foods share common philosophies in terms of employee engagement, store operations. And our partnership gives us the opportunity to share ideas and leverage best practices."
JK Foods, which started as a single store in Williston in 1982, now employs more than 300 workers.
Coborn's owns and operates more than 90 retail locations and 45 grocery stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota, employing approximately 6,800 workers.
