SARTELL, MN (KNSI) - The Sartell City Council is moving forward with plans to acquire land for a future Sauk River Regional Park.
On Monday night, the council voted 4-to-1 in favor of purchasing the land. The city is negotiating purchasing 68 acres along the Sauk River. The park would connect to Whitney Park in St. Cloud.
Sartell has to spend 500-thousand dollars in state bonding money by the end of the year to purchase the land, or lose the money.
