ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A ribbon-cutting will be held at 12:30 this afternoon at St. Cloud Regional Airport to mark the launch of twice-daily jet service to Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
Airport Manager Bill Towle says fifty-seat regional jets will be used for the United Express flights, and around a dozen new employees will work at the airport as a result.
Departure times will be at 6:30 am and 1:50 pm daily, with arrivals at 1:15 pm and 9:50 pm. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is scheduled to be on today's first arriving flight.
United joins Allegiant Airlines in serving the St. Cloud market. Allegiant flies to Phoenix-Mesa and Orlando.
