Charges filed in St. Cloud stabbing

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Charges were filed this week against two men in a stabbing that sent two others to the hospital.

It happened last Friday morning in the 10-block of Seventh Avenue South in St. Cloud. That's where 24 year-old Justin Gomez of Willmar and 24 year Gilberto Aleman of Savage allegedly stabbed the two 22 year-old victims.

Court documents indicate witnesses saw Gomez stab one of the victims four times in the chest, and when the second victim stepped in, he was stabbed twice in the stomach.

Both defendants face charges of second-degree assault.

Gomez was being held in the Stearns County Jail on $100,000 bail, while Aleman posted bail and was released.

A knife was found at the scene.
