SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) Drivers traveling southbound on Highway 15 near Stearns County Road 120 in Sartell will encounter lower speed limits and lane shifts Wednesday as that intersection partially opens.
The Minnesota DOT says both lanes of southbound Highway 15 will be shifted to temporary bypass lanes. The posted speed limit on Highway 15 will be reduced to 45 miles per hour. Also, the ramp from southbound Highway 15 to westbound County Road 120 and the ramp from eastbound County Road 120 to southbound Highway 15 will open.
The ramps between northbound Highway 15 and County Road 120 will remain closed, and are expected to open next week.
The traffic changes are part of the new diverging diamond interchange that's being built at that intersection.
