ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - For the third straight year, one of St. Cloud's signature businesses is again being honored by its happy employees.
CentraCare Health System was named the No. 1 best place to work among all large companies in Minnesota, according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. It's the third consecutive year that the St. Cloud-based health services provider has topped the list, which includes all state businesses with more than 1,000 full-time employees.
The Journal cites CentraCare's efforts to create a small-business environment among its more than 6,600 workers as well as its village-like feel for landed it in first place again.
"It is rewarding to know that our employees think highly of CentraCare," company president and CEO Dr. Terry Pladson said. "We know that happy, engaged employees are loyal and productive, that they work hard to support the organization's mission and values."
Follow CentraCare on the large company list were Accenture, Ameriprise Financial, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, HealthPartners, HealthEast Care System, Ecumen, Allianze Life Insurance, Comcast and Ecolab.
The rankings are judged through web-based employee surveys conducted by Quantum Workplace of Wichita, Kansas.
