LITTLE FALLS, MN (KNSI) - The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls is getting a one-point-four million dollar grant that will be used for expansion. The announcement is being made today.
Steve Muro--the undersecretary for Memorial Affairs in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand for the announcement. He's the former director of Fort Snelling National Cemetery. State Veterans Cemetery director David Swantek says the expansion will pay for grave site development for the next decade.
The cemetery opened in 1994. The last expansion was in 2003.
