Car Burglars Nabbed After Overnight Spree

KANDIYOHI, MN (KNSI) - The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office has arrested four car burglars.

Sheriff Dan Hartog says his office received a call from a person in the town of Kandiyohi early Monday morning that someone was breaking into a vehicle near his residence. Deputies responded and found the four suspects--three juveniles and an 18 year-old male.

After talking with them, the suspects confessed to going through more than 100 different vehicles in the cities of Litchfield, Grove City, Atwater and Kandiyohi from late Sunday night to early Monday morning.

Deputies then executed a search warrant on the vehicle the suspects were driving, and found electronic equipment including I-pads and I-pods, cell phone chargers, folding knives, multi-purpose tools, GPS devices and a small amount of cash.
