FAIRFAX, Minn. (KNSI) - One man is dead and another badly injured after both were shocked at the site of a power line project in south central Minnesota Monday.

Renville County dispatchers received a 911 just before 8:45 a.m. reporting that two people working on the CAPX power line project just northeast of Fairfax. When deputies and paramedics arrived they found two men on the ground and people attempting CPR. The workers were airlifted to the Twin Cities, where one of the men was pronounced dead. It is believed the other is still alive, although specifics on his condition have not been released.

The two men were subcontractors working for Donovan Construction out of Ham Lake. At this point their names have not been made public.
