ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A St. Cloud man has been arrested for the second time in four days after a homeowner interrupted a burglary in progress Tuesday night.

Police say 23 year-old Zachary Jay Haaf entered a detached garage  in the 600 block of 11th Avenue  North and rummaged through two vehicles as the homeowner discovered him. Haaf then left the area and the homeowner followed him until police arrived and took Haaf into custody.

Haaf was booked into Stearns County Jail and faces charges of third-degree burglary.

Last Saturday, police were called to a St. Cloud gas station where Haaf was under the influence of alcohol. He pushed officers and tried to head-butt one of them as he was being placed under arrest, and made verbal threats to kill an officer. He was charged with disorderly conduct and fourth-degree assault in that incident.
