Building near St. Martin burns

ST. MARTIN, Minn. (KNSI) Fire departments from St. Martin and Lake Henry were called out to a fire on Stearns County Road 12 in St. Martin Township last night.

The fire was at a farm at 28154 County Road 12 owned by James Boeckers of Melrose.

A passing motorist spotted hay bales on fire just after 9:30 and alerted authorities. The flames spread to a building on the property.

Part of the building and a half-dozen corn straw bales were lost to the fire, but there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
