ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud residents can comment on the city's proposed 2013 budget and tax levy at a public hearing tonight. It begins at 6 pm at City Hall.
The council has given preliminary approval to a $70-million budget for next year--down $2 million from the current year budget. The council also set a preliminary tax levy of $20.9 million for next year--which is unchanged from this year. The council could give the budget final approval tonight--after the public hearing.
And residents of Waite Park can comment on that city's proposed 2013 budget tonight during a truth-in-taxation hearing at City Hall at 6:30. The council has set a preliminary budget of just over $5 million--an increase of about two-and-a-half percent from this year. Final budget approval in Waite Park is expected on December 17th.
