GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) A Grand Forks amateur boxer who collapsed during a fight in Minnesota over the weekend has died.

Jerimiah Moen died Wednesday morning at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. He was 29.

Moen collapsed during the first round of a sanctioned three-round fight Saturday in East Grand Forks.

Moen's uncle, Mike Sweeney, says Moen had ``serious trauma'' to his brain from previous injuries, including concussions.

Moen had remained unconscious and in critical condition since the fight.

Sweeney says the family is not putting blame on anybody, but believes Moen's death will make people more aware of the need for tests.
