Board Approves Recycling Permit

ST. MARTIN, MN (KNSI) - The Stearns County Board of Commissioners has approved a conditional use permit that will allow a tire recycling plant to expand by two-and-a-half acres.

Monitor Tire Disposal will use the expansion to park trucks and trailers at its facility in St. Martin Township. They had been asking for re-zoning for a five acre expansion.

The permit will require the Monitor Tire to install screening between a storage area and Sauk Valley Road, complete a wetlands study, and make sure its septic system complies with county codes.
