ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) If you have travel plans this weekend, you'll want to keep an eye on the weather.
A developing winter storm system is expected to track into Minnesota and has the potential to dump heavy snow in the St. Cloud area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for central Minnesota from late Saturday night through six o'clock Monday morning.
At this point, forecasters are saying snow amounts in excess of 6 to 8 inches are possible, and it will be blown around by very strong northwest winds that could create white out conditions.
St. Cloud is included in the Winter Storm Watch. There's a Blizzard Watch posted for areas around Morris, Marshall and Willmar.
