ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Some big weather changes will be felt and seen across Minnesota today.
In our area, a Wind Advisory has been posted until ten pm. National Weather Service forecasters say very strong northwest winds will blow throughout the day--sustained at 30 miles an hour with gusts to 45 miles an hour. They say that could make driving a high-profile vehicle difficult--particularly on east-west roads.
In northwest Minnesota, there's a Winter Storm Warning posted until 1 am tomorrow. Crookston, Hallock, Warren and East Grand Forks are some of the cities in the warning. They could see 6 to 10 inches of snow, blowing snow, and wind chills in the teens.
To the south, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Moorhead, Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids areas--which could see 2 to 4 inches of snow..
Everyone in Minnesota will feel a drop in temperartures. The 70's and 80's we've seen this week are gone--replaced by high temps in the 40's through Saturday.
